Sam Nicholson believes that he and his team-mates are now finding their feet in the first team after a string of impressive displays.
Despite going down 2-0 at home to Celtic on Saturday, the Jambos matched their counterparts all the way in a close encounter. Sam thinks that the performance proved just how far this team has come.
Speaking after the match, Sam said: "We can take positives from that performance. The improvements are there and that's all the manager really wants. We're a young side and at a young age all you really need to be doing is improving.
"Getting a result would've been nice too - we're not saying that getting beat 2-0 but improving is good, we want to win too - but the improvements were there and the manager noticed it, hopefully the fans noticed it as well.
"I thought we played well and defended well. It's hard to go from defence to attack so sharply against a team like that. It would've been nice to get something out of the game but that's football I suppose.
"You see Celtic passing around teams but I felt that when we got behind the ball - and I'm not saying they struggled because possession-wise they were better than us - we defended well and made it hard for them.
"We want to be picking points against any team. As long as we go in with a positive attitude and play the same way then hopefully we'll get something out of the next few games.
"We're all working harder, not to say that we weren't working hard before, but everyone's going that extra mile for each other. Everyone's going for it. The whole team's working hard for each other.
"It's maybe taken a while to get used to it, but I think we're improving and performances are getting better."
