The club would like to advise supporters planning on coming to Tynecastle Stadium in the weeks ahead that Russell Road is now closed to through traffic for an extended period.
The City of Edinburgh Council say the closure will last until the middle of July while work is carried out to install bridge protection systems.
Matchday traffic in the area is therefore likely to be severely affected and fans should allow more time to travel to the stadium.
Pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained throughout the six-month duration.
A club spokesperson said: "A lot of our supporters travelling from the western side of the city and beyond use Russell Road to access the stadium.
"This will now not be possible by car during the period of closure and alternative plans should be made.
"The Gorgie area is likely to become even more congested than normal with traffic on a match day and we would ask for fans' patience as they make their way to, and from, Tynecastle."
