Ross eager to play in front of Tynecastle crowd

4th May 2021

Ross Stewart can’t wait to experience the famous Tynecastle atmosphere after signing a pre-contract to join Hearts permanently.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper will call Gorgie his home from June 10th, when his contract at Livingston expires, following his decision to pen a two-year deal.

Though he states it was an honour to pull on a Hearts jersey this season, it will mean even more when fans are allowed back into stadiums.

Speaking to the Official Hearts website, Ross said: “I’m really happy to have committed my future to Hearts. I’ve enjoyed every minute of my time here so far and I can’t wait to get going again in the Premiership next season.

“The boys have been great since I first came in and it honestly feels like I’ve been here forever. Winning the Championship with this team was a special moment for me and I hope everyone gets to enjoy some more special moments next season.

“It was an honour to play for Hearts this season and I’ll keep working hard in training to make sure I’m ready if the manager calls upon me next season, and hopefully I get to experience playing in front of the fans at Tynecastle as soon as possible.”
