Robbie Neilson hopes to have the majority of his squad available for tomorrow night’s Scottish League Cup match against Arbroath.
Injuries have taken their toll during pre-season, but the head coach reckons he’ll have a large pool of players to choose from for the Jambos’ first competitive match of the season.
Speaking at the Hearts Football Academy, he said: “We should have near enough everyone involved. Prince Buaben was a slight doubt earlier but I’m looking to get him in the squad.
“Juanma is another who perhaps might not start, but he’ll be involved in some fashion.
“Soufian El Hassnaoui and Miguel Pallardo are the only two who will sit out the game, everyone else is fine.”
Sunday’s friendly match against Everton has given the team a taster of Tynecastle action and Robbie has revealed that everyone can’t wait to get back into the swing of things, starting on Thursday.
“The Everton match was great,” he said. “It allowed us to see where we were against genuine giants of the game and it was a great workout.
“We’re now ready to start the season and we’re looking forward to running back out at Tynecastle, hopefully in font of a big crowd.
“Arbroath will be a tough test but we’ll prepare properly, work hard and hopefully find ourselves in the draw for the next round.”
