Robbie Neilson says his dressing room is full of belief after today’s win over Motherwell took Hearts to the summit of the cinch Premiership.
First-half strikes from Liam Boyce and Stephen Kingsley sent the in-form Steelmen packing and ensured all three points stayed in Gorgie.
The result took the Jambos’ unbeaten run in the top flight to all eight games, and the manager is already looking to the next hurdle to overcome; a trip to Ibrox in two weeks’ time.
Speaking to Hearts TV, he said: “The belief is that they can go and win every game.
“We’ve got a really tight squad here. We’ve got 18 outfield players and two really good goalkeepers and the hard part for me is picking the two guys that don’t get involved in the squad.
“We can only pick 18 out of 20 and I believe we have got 20 players who are all top six players in Scotland and at any other team in Scotland they’d play in their first team.
“It’s early days but we feel the next challenge for us is going to Glasgow and winning.
“We spoke to the players at the start of the season and firstly we needed to deal with the away record. The away record at Hearts hasn’t been good enough. Win these away games and we’ve done Dundee United away, St Mirren away and drew up at Ross County.
“The next stage for us now is going to Glasgow and winning. It’s a big challenge for us because it’s always been a difficult place for any team to go, and we’ve got a challenge in two weeks’ time.”
