Robbie: Key week ahead

11th August 2015

Robbie Neilson is expecting a tough challenge against Motherwell on Wednesday.

Robbie Neilson is confident his side can build on their winning start to the season against Motherwell on Wednesday night, ahead of what he describes as a key week for his team.

The Jambos continued their fine start to the season at Dens Park on Saturday, with two second half goals from new boy Juanma sealing a 2-1 win over Paul Hartley’s Dundee.

Speaking to Hearts TV ahead of Wednesday night’s Ladbrokes Premiership encounter against Motherwell, Head Coach Robbie Neilson revealed he is expecting another tough test against The Steelmen.

“The mood has been good since Saturday’s victory. It was a disappointing first half for us, but the second half was good and we showed a lot of spirit to get back in it against a very strong Dundee team. Now we move on to Motherwell which will be another challenge as they are an experienced side with plenty of ex-internationals.

“This week will be key for us. We’ve taken three points against Dundee, now we’ve got Motherwell on Wednesday night followed by Ross County on Saturday. These next two games will be difficult; our fitness levels are improving but we’ve still got a bit to go,” Neilson explained.
