Robbie Neilson has revealed that his U20s' run of recent form has helped him to settle back into life at Tynecastle.
The Wee Jambos have racked up wins over high-flying Inverness and Formartine Utd in the SFA Youth Cup in the space of the week, which has left the U20s Development Manager in no doubt that he made the right choice to return to Gorgie.
Speaking exclusively to Hearts News, Robbie said: "It's been great and I'm really enjoying it. It's great to be back and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
"It's great to help the boys and when you get a win like the 11-0 Youth Cup victory over Formartine United then it makes everybody happy.
"I knew if we performed well we'd win the game. It was really pleasing, the way that we kept going. I spoke to them at half time when it was 4-0, and sometimes in games like that you can take the foot off the gas but I thought they kept going and I was really pleased with them.
"They played really well and they deserved the victory."
Unlike their first team counterparts, the U20s have a winter break on the horizon. That doesn't mean however, that there will be any rest for the wicked.
"I'd like us to get a wee run of form and we've got a few games we need to catch up on so we're trying to get those organised and keep the season going as long as we can," Robbie said. "We'll use the close season over the festive period as a wee bit of a fitness regime, so when we come back we can hit the ground running again."
