Robbie Neilson the huge Hearts away support helped spur his side on to three points at Tannadice.
Liam Boyce’s first-half strike looked to have won the Jambos the match against Dundee United but with more than 2,200 travelling fans in full voice, Armand Gnanduillet struck in stoppage time seal the victory.
The manager was in awe of the backing the boys in maroon received and praised his players for picking up two wins from two on the road this season.
Speaking to Hearts TV at full time, he said: “The fans today were unbelievable. We arrived here at about 11.30 into the centre of Dundee to have a pre-match meal and they were all coming off the train in their hundreds and the whole place was rocking already.
“It was absolutely brilliant. They sang for the full 90 minutes and right at the end they push us on to get that final goal and get us the three points. Hopefully they’ll have a good night tonight.
“I’m absolutely over the moon. When we looked at the start of the season we spoke about the away record and making sure we pick up points away from home.
“Over the past probably 10-15 years Hearts have been very, very good at home but not picking up three points or any points away from home.
“To be able to go to St Mirren and Tannadice, which is traditionally a difficult place to come, to get six points is brilliant.”
