Robbie: Draw was a blow

17th October 2014

Robbie Neilson admits previous Dumbarton result was disappointing but wants his players to "put it right" tomorrow.

Robbie Neilson wants his side to make up for last month’s goalless draw at Dumbarton by picking up a victory against them tomorrow at Tynecastle.

The Sons held Hearts to a stalemate when the two sides met back in September. Robbie wants the Jambos to get all-three points tomorrow afternoon, and is looking for his players to pick up full points in every game.

Speaking to the media this morning at Tynecastle, Robbie said: “We want to keep winning every game. We drew at Dumbarton, which was a bit of a blow for us, as we wanted to go down there and win. This is our chance to put that right and get a victory.

“Our incentive is to beat every team every week. We work all week to try and beat the team that we play on the Saturday.

“It doesn’t matter who it is, it’ll be the same the following week when we play Hibs. We’ll build up exactly the same to make sure we’re prepared for the game and to try and win it.

“It’s a long season. There will be periods of ups and downs where we lose games and it’s important that we’re ready for that as well.”

The Gorgie head coach also revealed that the jury’s still out on whether or not skipper Danny Wilson will make tomorrow’s starting line-up.

“Danny will get tested tomorrow morning and we’ll see how he is,” he said. “Hopefully he’s got a chance of playing but the big one for us is the following week in the derby. We need to make 100% sure that he’s going to be okay for that.

“If that means he has to be rested tomorrow then he’ll be rested.”
