Head Coach Robbie Neilson was delighted to see Perry Kitchen sign on at Hearts and is now hoping his side can extend their winning run against Dundee tomorrow.
The USA international joined the club earlier this week and could feature in Saturday’s Ladbrokes Premiership match at Dens Park. Speaking to Hearts TV on Friday, Robbie said:
“We’re really pleased to finally complete the signing and he’s not far off match fitness either. Obviously he finished up in November, but he was involved in a US national team training camp at the end of January so I expect him to be pretty much ready to go.
“Our focus now turns to what will be a tough game at Dens Park tomorrow. We got three points there last time, but it was a difficult game. We’re just looking to continue our run and push as high up the table as we can.”
Robbie was also boosted by the news that youngster Dario Zanatta has penned a three-year contract extension, which will keep him at Tynecastle until May 2019. The Canadian has made a handful of first team appearances so far this season, following a string of impressive performances for the U20 development side.
“Dario’s done really well since coming in. He’s done well with the 20s and is now getting involved with the first team, so it’s pleasing to have kids like him coming through,” said Robbie.
