Remembrance fixture this Saturday

4th November 2021

Saturday’s cinch Premiership match against Dundee United at Tynecastle will serve as the club’s annual Remembrance fixture.

Boroughmuir High School Pipe Band will perform on the Foundation Plaza after representatives from the Royal Scots Veterans lay a wreath in front of the Main Stand at approximately 1.40pm.

The band will also form a V around the soldier above the Memorial Garden prior to kick-off. Once the teams take to the field, a lone piper will perform before a minute’s silence is observed in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

As per previous years, the team will wear their poppy jerseys during the match. The tops are available to purchase by clicking here, with all additional profits going to Poppy Scotland.

Volunteers from Poppy Scotland will be at Tynecastle for bucket collections on the day and supporters are encouraged to give donations (cash only) if able to do so.

The 60-page matchday programme features the Haymarket War Memorial on the front cover and can be purchased online now by clicking here.

A reminder that the club’s annual Remembrance Service at Haymarket will take place a week on Sunday, details of which can be found by clicking here.
