Ready to raise our game

Robbie Neilson looks ahead to Wednesday's Europa League tie in Tallinn.

Robbie Neilson is confident his side will raise their game in their second-leg tie against FC Infonet on Wednesday.

The Jambos are set to jet off to Tallinn on Tuesday morning to defend a narrow 2-1 lead against the Estonians. The tie was Hearts' first competitive outing of the new season and the Head Coach is confident his team will be sharper for Wednesday's return leg.

Speaking to HeartsTV, Robbie said:

“Training has been good since Thursday. Getting the 90 minutes under their belts has blown the cobwebs away and hopefully this week we’ll go and perform better than we did at Tynecastle.

“It’s difficult going into games like that, we were up against a team midway through their season who had won six games on the bounce. So taking a lead to Tallinn is good and we’re looking forward to it.

“It’s difficult to assess what Infonet will do on the night. They have to open because they need a goal, but they may well sit tight again and try and hit us on the break.

“So we have to be ready for that and respond in the correct manner.”

Robbie also revealed that defender Jordan McGhee is in talks with Middlesbrough over a proposed loan move.

“They came in for him in January but it fell through in the last minute. He’s had his heart set on it ever since so we feel now is a good time for him to go down there."
