First Team

Ready for European challenge

28th June 2016

Hearts are well prepared for the visit of FC Infonet, insists Robbie Neilson.

Robbie Neilson insists his side is fully prepared for Thursday night’s Europa League match against FC Infonet.

The Jambos welcome the Estonians to Tynecastle for the first leg of the Europa League 1st Round and the Head Coach is confident his team will be ready, despite having only returned to pre-season training a few weeks ago.

Speaking to Hearts TV on Tuesday, Robbie said:

“We’ve watched a lot of them on video and we’ve spoken to agents over in Estonia and other people that we know. So we’ve prepared well and we know what to expect.

“It’s going to be a tough game, they’ve got a lot of ex-internationals and a few current ones as well, so they’re an experienced team.

“We will be ready. The players had a short break, but they had training programmes over the summer and came back in really good condition.

“So we’re aiming to get a really good result at Tynecastle to take to Tallinn.

“We’ll have another big crowd at Tynecastle, so once again our support is incredible.

"They’ve backed us in huge numbers, be it away to the likes of Alloa in the Championship or all throughout last season. We’re now back in Europe and that’s what they deserve.”
