Robbie Neilson believes momentum will be key during the closing stages of the season after seeing his Hearts side stretch their lead in 3rd place to 14 points.
Goals from Beni Baningime and Barrie McKay sealed a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Livingston at a sun-kissed Tynecastle on Saturday.
"I thought we played really well at the start of the game but then took our foot off the gas after 20-25 minutes which was disappointing. That being said, in the second half we were comfortable," Robbie told HeartsTV.
McKay's sensational second-half strike was his first goal for the club and Robbie was delighted to see the creative maestro finally get off the mark.
"It's been a long time coming, the boys have been giving him a bit of stick. He's a top, top player and let's be honest, if he was going to score it was never going to be a tap-in!"
The cinch Premiership now pauses for the international break before the Jambos resume league duty with a trip to Dingwall on April 2nd.
"It's about building momentum. Today was great, we now go into the break on a high but then we play Ross County; we have to make sure that we go up there and we're at it. We can't let the upcoming Derbies distract us.
"We got some more knocks today; Beni, Halliday and Atkinson all came off. We hope to have them back after the break and hopefully Gary Mackay-Steven will be ready then as well."
