Hearts Women can confirm the departure of players and also the signing of key players going into the 2020 season.
Departing is former club captain Megan Paterson and Lynsey Anderson, both long serving players that spent ten years at the club. Rachel Walkingshaw and Danni McGinley have also left the club through mutual consent. Rachel and Danni played a key role in the Jambos’ 3-0 win over Partick Thistle that secured the club’s promotion into the SWPL 1. Striker Ashley Carse, another long serving player, has also left the club along with Sharon Hughes who retires due to injury.
Ashley Watson, Kirsty King, Kara Kidd, Lauren Hall, Robyn Smith and Jennifer Dodds have all left the club through mutual consent.
Everyone at the club would like to thank the above players for the contributions they have made during their time at Hearts Women, and wish them all the best in the future.
With the 2019 season wrapping up just last month, Hearts Women have been quick to secure the services of key players going into the 2020 campaign.
Goalkeeper, Emily Mutch, midfielder Jennifer Smith and striker, Aisha Maughan have all committed their future to Hearts Women. All three have made regular appearances for Scotland Women’s Under 19s and made significant contributions to what was an exciting 2019 season.
Louise Mason, Mariel Kaney and Charlotte Parker-Smith have all signed for the 2020 season. Additionally, defenders Georgia Hunter, Danni Pagliarulo and Claire Delworth have all put pen to paper.
Loanee Murron Cunningham, from Glasgow City, has also committed their future to the club, signing on for the 2020 SWPL 1 campaign.
