Alex Petkov will remain a Hearts player next season after signing a one-year contract extension.
The Bulgarian U21 cap has extended his contract at Tynecastle until May 2020.
19-year-old Alex, who helped the reserves lift the SPFL Reserve Cup earlier this month with a victory over Motherwell, has been a regular in Andy Kirk’s side this season.
Comfortable in the heart of defence or the middle of the park, Alex joined Hearts in 2016 and made his first-team debut in a 3-0 League Cup win over East Fife in July 2017.
Meanwhile, U18s defender Dino Leddie has left the club to join Swedish side Ytterhogal.
