Perry ready to face Celtic

29th April 2016

Perry Kitchen can't wait for Saturday's big game at Tynecastle.

Perry Kitchen is confident Hearts have what it takes to record their first win of the season against Celtic on Saturday afternoon.

The Jambos have faced the reigning champions on three occasions in the league so far, drawing twice and most recently suffering a 3-1 defeat in Glasgow.

The US midfielder, however, believes he and his teammates can take confidence from the way they performed at Celtic Park earlier this month. Speaking to Hearts TV, Perry said:

“It’s going to be another huge match for us. We’ve dropped points in our last couple of games so we’re looking forward to getting back on a positive track.

“We played very well at times at Celtic Park, but at the end of the day we lost. It’s a performance we can build on though and it gives us confidence heading into tomorrow’s game.”

Another large crowd is expected for the lunchtime kick-off and Perry admits he loves nothing more than stepping out onto the Tynecastle turf.

“It’s been incredible, I really haven’t experienced anything like it. Going out and hearing that noise is great, as a player you feed off their energy. Let’s just say it’s easy to get motivated when you have fans like that behind you. They’ll play a big part again on Saturday."
