Jon Daly has revealed Hearts will travel to Kilmarnock with an attacking game plan as they look to secure their first win of the Ladbrokes Premiership season.
The Jambos opened their league campaign with a 4-1 defeat to champions Celtic last Saturday but are now looking to bounce back at Rugby Park this coming weekend.
Speaking to the press ahead of Saturday’s trip to Ayrshire, interim Head Coach Jon Daly said his side will take a very different approach against Lee McCulloch’s men.
“When you play for Hearts you’re under pressure to win regardless of who you’re playing. We were disappointed not to get something at Celtic but we’re fully focused on putting that right this week,” said Jon.
“We’ll go to Kilmarnock with a completely different game plan than the one we had at Celtic. We’ll be looking to attack and ultimately win the game.
“Getting our first win under our belt will be difficult but we have players capable of winning games.
“Kilmarnock will be set up really well. I know Lee McCulloch quite well, I know what kind of character he is and what he’ll be demanding from his team.
“As I said, we’ll be more attack minded on Saturday and look to exploit Kilmarnock’s weaknesses.”
Jon also revealed he expects to welcome Jamie Walker back into the squad.
“Jamie should be in the squad, yes. He’s trained well this week and has been working hard.
“As I’ve touched on before, he’s a player that can win you games, he can produce something from nothing and he’s certainly going to be back in the squad, be it in a starting place or as a substitute.”
