Euan Henderson is determined to keep on improving after committing his future to Hearts.
The 19-year-old penned a two-year contract extension following a prolonged run in the first team last season, a spell that saw him bag his first Hearts goal.
The forward is thankful for being giving an opportunity to shine at Tynecastle and is already looking forward to pulling on the maroon jersey again.
Speaking to Capital City Press, Euan said: “I’m delighted to sign a new contract. It was an easy decision.
“Last season the manager started to put his trust in me and show faith that I could do a job for the team. I’m determined to go back after this break, keep improving and go even further next season.
“It was a much more enjoyable second half of the season despite it ending early.
“We don’t know what training will look like when we go back but I’ll be excited to be back working, getting better and improving myself as a player.
“It’s a fresh season to look forward to and hopefully we can kick on and, no matter what league we are in, win games and get the positivity back. If it’s the Championship, then we’ll just push hard to get back to the Premiership.
“We have a core of good young players and some really experienced big names like Steven Naismith, so there is definitely potential to build regardless of what league we are in.”
