I'm delighted to announce that the annual Hearts Family Fun Day takes place on Sunday 28 June at the Gorgie Suite.
The day is run by a fantastic group of volunteers who organise a superb day of fun for the whole family. The club is delighted to support the day once again this year. It fully embraces the club's wish to become more family friendly and to provide better facilities for kids as they develop their interest in the game and of course, their support for Hearts.
The club will be well represented on the day with appearances from legends and first team players and there will be an opportunity to take your picture with the Championship trophy.
The day will raise vital funds for a number of good causes. This year, the organisers have decided to share funds between Big Hearts, Save The Children, the Sick Kids Foundation and the 1874 Fighting Fund.
The organisers depend on support and sponsorship from fans to put on such a good day and so far have received £400 in donations from Jambos Kickback as well as a total of £100 from individuals. I have been asked by the organisers to remind fans that additional assistance with putting on a memorable day would be very welcome and I would encourage you to consider supporting this amazing event whether you are volunteering your time, making a small donation to cover costs, providing goodies and raffle prizes or simply coming along with your kids to enjoy the day.
If you'd like to help, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Linda Thomson, a stalwart support who is also organiser of the club's Gorgie Kids' Club, face painter and balloon modeller extraordinaire on 07932 643976
I look forward to seeing you on the 28th of June.
