Kevin McHattie has left Heart of Midlothian by mutual consent.
The left back has been released from his contract in order to enable him to find a new club that can offer first team football.
Kevin signed for Hearts at the age of 17 and made his SPL debut against Aberdeen in August 2011, and has since racked up over 80 first team appearances.
The young defender is now ready for a new challenge and admits he will leave with fond memories of his time spent at Tynecastle. Speaking to Hearts News, Kevin said:
“I’ve loved every minute here, it’s been fantastic. I’ll leave here with some great memories, not least winning the title last year. I’ll miss this place, no doubt about that.
“It’s time for a new challenge now and I’m looking forward to getting first team football. But for now I’d like to take the chance to thank the staff, my team mates and the fans for all their support.”
