Match Preview: Livingston (H)

12th February 2022

It's been a frantic start to February, and the action keeps coming as we welcome Livingston to Tynecastle for a fifth round clash in the Scottish Cup.

Form Guide:

Producing a follow up to the feats of his maiden campaign was always going to be a big job, but David Martindale has once again underlined his credentials as one of the most flexible gaffers in the Premiership: consistently reimagining his team and pulling off big results. January recruitment has been admirable: including high quality captures such as Welsh U21 international defender Morgan Boyes from Liverpool.

In their last five matches: the Lions have recorded three wins, a draw and a defeat - including memorable triumphs away to Hibs and at home to Aberdeen.

The two sides last crossed swords with each other on league duty in West Lothian in December 2021; Hearts left the Tony Macaroni Arena with all three points after Liam Boyce's second half strike sealed a 0-1 win for Hearts.

So far in the Scottish Cup:

Auchinleck Talbot 0-5 Heart of Midlothian: January 2022 (Fourth Round)

Livingston 1-0 Ross County: January 2022 (Fourth Round)
