Hearts’ entire allocation is SOLD OUT, meaning 4,700 Jambos will be there to support Craig Levein’s side.
Arnaud Djoum and Harry Cochrane continue to make good progress int heir returns from injury.
Michael Smith played the full 90 minutes against Celtic last week, his first appearance since the 5-0 win over Cowdenbeath on July 24th.
Hearts previously met Dunfermline in the group stage of last year’s Betfred Cup. Don Cowie put the Jambos in front before the Pars equalised through Joe Cardle, then Declan McManus put the visitors in front at Tynecastle. Isma bagged the equaliser with four minutes to go but it wasn’t enough to stop the men in maroon exiting the tournament, with Dunfermline going on to win the penalty shootout.
The last time Hearts played a competitive game at East End Park was back in April 2012. Gary Glen put Paulo Sergio’s side in front before Alex Keddie’s own goal proved decisive, despite Marius Zaliukas’ own goal at the other end halving the deficit.
Dunfermline sailed through the group stage, winning all four matches including a victory against Premiership side Dundee.
An impressive 3-2 opening day Championship win over Dundee United at Tannadice was followed up with a 3-1 reversal at home to Ross County, before the Pars progressed to the next round of the Irn-Bru Cup with a 2-1 midweek win at Inverness CT.
