Some of Hearts’ young loan stars have returned to the club and will travel to Spain for the team’s winter training camp.
The Jambos head out south of Valencia tomorrow for a five-day warm-weather camp, which includes two closed-door friendlies.
Dario Zanatta, Harry Paton and Marcus Godinho have all returned from loan spells at Raith Rovers, Stenhousemuir and Berwick Rangers respectively, and will travel with the first-team squad tomorrow.
Midfielder Andrew Irving will also make the journey, though he has extended his loan stay at Berwick Rangers until the end of the season.
Callumn Morrison has returned to Hearts from Stirling Albion, however injury will prevent him from linking up with the first-team in Spain.
Speaking to heartsfc.co.uk, manager Craig Levein said: “We’ve brought some of our loan players back to the club so we can assess them and see how they’ve progressed.
“Some will travel to Spain with us so it will be useful to see them first hand in training and in the friendly matches.
“It may be that a few of them go back out on loan later in the month, but we’ll make that call in due course.”
