Heart of Midlothian is proudly celebrating Living Wage Week as an official accredited Living Wage employer.
As the first football club in Scotland to become an official accredited Living Wage employer in 2014, the club is delighted that employees will benefit from the new rise in the Living Wage.
Today’s increase sees the Living Wage rise from £9.30 to £9.50. The Living Wage is independently calculated each year based on what employees need to live and this week sees a UK wide celebration of the Living Wage, and the opportunities it brings to employees.
Hearts Owner & Chairman, Ann Budge, commented:
“As a club we are extremely proud to be a Living Wage Employer. Despite the unprecedented challenges we are currently facing as a result of COVID-19, it is more important than ever to stay true to the values that we hold dear at Heart of Midlothian and ensure that staff continue to earn a wage they can live on.”
