Kenny Anderson has revealed that he can’t wait to set up his team-mates in front of goal if called upon this weekend.
The new signing trained with his fellow Hearts players for the first time this morning, and he’s ready if Robbie Neilson decides to pitch him in against Livingston on Saturday.
Speaking exclusively to HeartsTV, Kenny said: “I think I’m a midfielder who wants to get over the strikers and create chances.
“With my runs I hope to create openings for myself and for other players to score opportunities.
“Of course, I like to score goals. Everybody enjoys scoring goals but I want to set them up also.
“I’m ready to go. I know the intensity of the training in Scotland is higher than in Holland so I’ve to get used to that.
“If the manager wants me to be on the pitch on Saturday then I’m ready.”
The 22-year-old Dutchman believes he’s joined a club that’s in a good place and wants to pay back the management team for the trust shown in him.
“Absolutely, I’m pleased that the manager’s shown trust to give me an 18-month contract.
“It’s great to feel the confidence in me and hopefully I can pay it back by having good results on the pitch.
“It’s a good position to come into. Everybody is full of confidence. Hopefully I can get into that flow.
“I’ve seen a few pranks already, in the changing room! I think I’m welcome and I’ll get to know them and everything will be all right.”
