Juwon Oshaniwa completes move to Hearts, subject to international clearance.

Hearts have completed the signing of Nigerian international Juwon Oshaniwa, subject to international clearance.

The left-back has penned a three-year deal at Tynecastle and joined his new team-mates in training for the first time this morning.

Juwon boasts an impressive pedigree, having played in all of the Super Eagles’ matches at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where he came up against the likes of Lionel Messi.

The 24-year-old spent the past three years at Israeli club Ashdod and will now compete for the left-back slot in Gorgie.

Speaking exclusively to Hearts News, head coach Robbie Neilson said: “I’m delighted to get Juwon here and signed up.

“It’s been a long process to get him here in Edinburgh, but he’s here now and he’s desperate to get started.

“He’s a top quality player and he’ll bring a lot of qualities to our squad. We’re all very happy with this move.”
