Earlier this year, Heart of Midlothian became the third club in Scotland to become part of SPFL Trust's Joy of Moving programme.
The Joy of Moving programme is a national school-based educational programme for children aged between 9-10. By combining six weeks of practical sporting sessions with classroom sessions, the programme encourages physical activity, promotes nutritional education and builds awareness of the importance of a balanced diet and active lifestyle.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the programme can no longer be delivered in classrooms, however, a new online content hub features a range of activities that children and parents can safely do from home.

Heart of Midlothian Football Club is committed to helping youngsters during these challenging times and the club has already launched a free online educational programme. At present, over 200 school children are registered on our online clubs – and there’s plenty of space for more!
The clubs, delivered via Google Classrooms, allow for young people to continue to develop their digital skills from home. With guidance and support from online mentors, participants will learn how to design apps, build websites and make games.
