Jordan McGhee is refusing to dwell on last week’s defeat to Falkirk and insists the mood in the camp is positive ahead of tomorrow’s game against Alloa Athletic.
Despite suffering a first league defeat of the season last Saturday, the Scotland U21 defender believes his team-mates have already put it behind them as they bid to take three points at the Indodrill Stadium.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Jordan said: “Obviously after the game everybody was a bit disappointed with the result and how the game had went.
“I think we just didn’t turn up, to be fair. Most games this season we’ve done really well, grinded out results in some games and some games we’ve been different class and passed teams off the pitch.
“Last week just didn’t happen for us. The preparation was all there, we just didn’t turn up on the day.
“But everybody seems to have come back in positive moods and we’re looking forward to the game against Alloa.
“Basically after the game we just tried to put it behind us and move on. We want to try and rectify it this weekend.
“We take every game as it comes and hopefully get back to winning ways at the weekend.”
Jordan, who recently penned a new deal at the club, revealed that head coach Robbie Neilson has personally pointed out where the lads went wrong last week, and what they can do better on Saturday.
“We’ll just keep our heads up,” he said. “What’s happened last weekend has been and gone.
“The gaffer’s taken us in to do video analysis in each group; defenders, midfielders and strikers. He’s told us where we should’ve done a bit better and where we need to improve on.
“We’ll all take it on board and take it into Saturday’s game.”
