Jordan: "Raring to go"

9th June 2014

Jordan McGhee eagerly anticipating the start of the 2014/15 Scottish Championship season.

Jordan McGhee insists he can't wait to get going again next season and wants to make his mark in the Hearts defence.

The Scotland U21 internationalist knows he gained invaluable experience in season 2013/14 and he's looking to establish himself in the top team this coming campaign.

Speaking to HeartsTV, Jordan said: "I'm relishing it and I'm raring to go. I've been doing work out-with training and trying to prepare for the new season by filling out a bit more.

"Last season went not too bad for me and I got great experience by playing, even though it wasn't in my natural position.

"Hopefully this season I can challenge for centre-back. If that's where Robbie wants me to play then that's where I'll play."

Jordan was speaking at the launch of the club's new away kit, which features the Foundation of Hearts logo on the front of the shirt as a thank you to the fans. The defender is a fan of new top and can't wait to run out in front of the fans with it on.

"I like what I've seen of it," he said. "It looks like Argentina's kit so hopefully it'll give us the magic to play like them during the season!

"It's a very nice gesture, after all the fans done for us last season. It'll give us something to look forward to next season."

Jordan's interview is available to watch in full on HeartsTV.
