Jon Daly is confident his side can build on last week’s win at Kilmarnock with another positive result against Rangers this weekend.
The Jambos head to Ibrox on Saturday off the back of a 1-0 win at Rugby Park and the interim head coach knows how dangerous the hosts can be, but insists he has the players to do them damage.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference this afternoon, Jon said: “Last week, Kilmarnock away, was another tough game.
“We hadn’t won there for four years in the league and we managed to do that which was great, then you look at the game on Saturday, Rangers away at Ibrox, its another tough game but it’s one we’re confident we can go and get a positive result.
“They obviously got beat last week against Hibs. They were down to ten men for the majority of the game, which is hard for any team.
“We know they’re a good team and a good side but we are too. We’ve got good players and we’ll obviously be aware of their threats and try and exploit the areas that we feel we can get at them.
“It comes down to on the day if we can take our chances and stop them in the areas that they’re good, then hopefully we can come out on top.”
One player who will be available for selection on Saturday is Isma, who today saw his red card – issued at Rugby Park – rescinded, and Jon believes the right decision has been made.
“We’re obviously delighted,” he said. “We’re happy that he’s been cleared of it because I didn’t think the situation warranted a red card.
“We’re obviously delighted that he’s in contention and that he’s available for the weekend.”
