Jamie's Italian job

Tynecastle No. 1 presented with Lombardia Hearts Supporters Club's Player of the Year award.

Members of the Lombardia Hearts Supporters Club paid a visit to the Football Academy on Saturday to present Jamie MacDonald with his Player of the Year Award.

The Italians were over in Edinburgh for the derby and took the opportunity to watch a bit of first-team training at Riccarton before handing Jamie his award for last season, which was voted on at a club dinner in Milan in November.

Manager Gary Locke and his assistant Billy Brown know the supporters club well from Hearts' regular pre-season training camps at Il Ciocco in Tuscany, representatives from the club having been regular visitors during the summer for a number of years.

The duo spent time chatting with Andy Teruzzi and Marco Braga, while the players all signed autographs.

Tynecastle No.1 Jamie, who made it a weekend to remember for the visitors with a clean sheet in a rousing victory over Hibs on Sunday, is pictured with Andy (left) and Marco at Riccarton.
