Striker James Keatings will return to training tomorrow as Hearts gear up for the Championship opener against Rangers at Ibrox.
The front man has been nursing a slight hamstring problem recently but is now ready to stake his claim for the trip to Glasgow on Sunday.
Head coach Robbie Neilson, meanwhile, is pleased with the fitness of his squad as the big game approaches, last night's friendly at Cowdenbeath proving another valuable exercise.
The Jambos went down 1-0 to a second-half goal but Robbie said: "We lost the goal due a slack pass but it was a good lesson learned for the boys.
"It was important they saw the kind of environment they will have to play in this season and Cowdenbeath is never an easy place to go. It was another good exercise for us.
"That's our pre-season over and the focus is all on Sunday now. The players are looking fit and strong and we're all looking forward to the first league game of the new season."
