Jack sees improvements

30th December 2016

Hearts' number one ready to face the Dons tonight.

Jack Hamilton insists Hearts are improving game by game and the 'keeper has his eyes firmly set on three points against Aberdeen tonight.

The Jambos will take on the Dons in front of a sold out Tynecastle this evening and a win will put them level on points with Derek McInnes’ men.

The visitors arrive in Gorgie having won their last two games, however, the Hearts number one insists there’s no shortage of confidence in the Hearts camp following Tuesday’s 4-0 win over Kilmarnock.

Speaking to the media ahead of tonight’s fixture, Jack said:

“It’s a massive game for us. They’re a few points ahead of us but we’ve got to be positive and hopefully we’ll get the right result.

“They’re a good side and they’ve proved that. But we just concentrate on ourselves, we’re feeling confident and we’re ready.

“I believe the league is wide open. Anything can happen, you’re never more than a few results way from being up there in second or a few bad ones and you’re off the pace.”

Having lost to Dundee prior to Christmas, Jack was delighted with Hearts’ response against Killie on Tuesday night. He believes the performance proves that the team is heading in the right direction.

“It was a win we needed after recent results and I was delighted with the manner in which we won. That result was going to come, we’d been doing lots of positive things.

“We’ve made tweaks to our shape and I think it worked for us against Kilmarnock. We were excellent for about an hour up in Dundee as well, so we’re making improvements.”
