Andy Irving has signed a contract extension.
The midfielder follows in the footsteps of teammate Jake Mulraney, who this week also committed his future to Hearts, by penning a new deal until 2021.
19-year-old Andy has forced his way into the manager’s plans this season after an impressive showing in pre-season.
He scored a stunning volley in the 1-1 Betfred Cup match against Dundee United two weeks ago, which was his first strike for the club.
The Scotland U19 cap has made eight top team appearances to date and he told HeartsTV that his aim is to now get more gametime under his belt.
“All I want is to just play more here,” he said. “I want to keep playing for Hearts and hopefully it’s here, at Tynecastle, as much as possible.
“I can’t wait to get started again. More hard work starts now and I’m delighted to sign for another year on top of what I’ve already got.
"I hope I’m continuing to stay in the manager’s thoughts. I’ll continue to work hard and see where that takes me; hopefully into his thoughts and I’ll get an opportunity again.”
