Aaron Hughes added to his record-breaking number of caps on Friday when he played in Northern Ireland’s friendly win over New Zealand.
The Jambos defender played 90 minutes at Windsor Park as Ross County’s Liam Boyce hit the game’s solitary goal to give the hosts a 1-0 win.
That marked Aaron’s 105th cap, further cementing his status as Northern Ireland’s all-time leading outfield capped player. Legendary goalkeeper Pat Jennings has amassed the most overall caps with 119 appearances between 1964 and 1986.
Northern Ireland are back in action on Saturday when they take on Azerbaijan in Baku in a World Cup Qualifying match.
