Conor Sammon believes Tynecastle can be the home that he’s been searching for after signing a three-year dal with Hearts.
The experienced Irish striker has joined Robbie Neilson’s Europe-bound first-team squad and has immediately set his sights on finding the back of the net.
Speaking to HeartsTV, Conor said: “The last couple of years I’ve been on loan moves here, there and everywhere really, probably for the last two years. So it’s very much a point for me to get settled in a place, to get settled in a club and to really find a new home.
“I’ve had discussions with a few club and a few managers over the last couple of months and I’ve been really impressed with everything that’s going on at the club here at Hearts.
“There’s a real feel-good factor to the place. Obviously you can see in the news with the new stand and everything that’s going through with that, and I’ve had a very good chat with Robbie Neilson.
“I’m just really excited at the prospect of really getting settled and finding a home that I can get stuck in and be part of something really successful at a club really going forward and making big strides to keep trying to better themselves.
“I’m absolutely delighted to come and be a part of that and look forward to building on the success that’s been happening here over the past couple of years, trying to take the club forward and for me to try and progress my career as well.
“You want to first and foremost score goals and help the team in every possible way, work hard and show the right kind of desire and commitment, day in and day out, training-wise and everything like that.
“I think it’s a really good fit and the manger has been very successful in his short managerial career so far and I’m very excited at working alongside him and learning and progressing as a player.
“I hope to achieve an awful lot. I’m ambitious, I want to come here and score lots of goals, I want to create opportunities for teammates, I want to work hard and be part of something successful.”
