Aaron Hickey has been called up to the Scotland U19s squad for next month’s European Qualifiers.
The Jambos full-back, joined in the squad by club teammate and Cowdenbeath loanee Chris Hamilton, has been named in Billy Stark’s squad as the young Scots kick-off their bid to make the 2020 finals in Northern Ireland.
Scotland begin their Group 3 campaign against Belarus at Cappielow on Wednesday, October 9th at 7pm.
Three days later they take on Andorra in Dumbarton, with a 12pm kick off.
The final group match sees Scotland face Germany at Fihill on Tuesday, October 15th at 7.05pm.
Each group takes on a single, round-robin format with the 13 group winners and runners up qualifying for the Elite Round.
Meanwhile Connor Smith and Cammy Logan enjoyed success with Scotland’s U18s last week in Turkey.
The Hearts duo were part of a squad that featured in an International tournament, which they came through unbeaten.
They both started in a 0-0 draw with Angola and a 2-1 win over Paraguay, and were named as substitutes in a 2-0 victory against Cameroon.
