New Hearts signing Arnaud Djoum has expressed his delight at joining the club and can’t wait to sample the famous Tynecastle atmosphere.
The 26-year-old has signed a deal until January – subject to international clearance – following a week-long training spell at Riccarton.
The Belgian midfielder brings a wealth of experience to the side, having played for clubs in Belgium, Holland, Turkey and Poland. His most notable spell came with Dutch side Roda JC, where he amassed 123 appearances and 9 goals during a five-year period.
Speaking exclusively to Hearts TV, Arnaud said: “It’s a big step for me, this is a big club with a lot of tradition and I hope to be successful here. I was very impressed by the facilities here and everyone has been very welcoming.”
“I’m an aggressive midfield player with good technical ability. I have a lot of experience; I won a title last year and I have played in several countries and adapted to different styles of football. I hope this experience can enable me to bring something to the team.”
“I’ve heard all about Tynecastle and I can’t wait to see this place full of fans. I know that the fans here are some of the best in Scotland so I’m excited to experience it.”
