This December, Tynecastle Park will play host to a fundraising lunch with a difference.
Hearts’ Academy stars – fresh from completing their 10-week Master Chef training course – will put their culinary skills to the test and prepare a delicious three-course luncheon, under the supervision of the club’s Head Chef, James Corner.
Taking place in the Gorgie Suite at 1pm on Sunday, December 9th, the competition – sponsored by Edinburgh’s star restaurateur James Thomson – sees the young players, who have been wowing social media with their kitchen antics, put into practice the life skills they have been taught from the Master Chef course, run at Oriam in partnership with the Next Step Foundation.
Split into teams of five – each adopting the names of one of James’ renowned restaurants - the future stars in maroon will look to dazzle a panel of top judges - including Hearts first team star Uche Ikpeazu - and jostle for the title of Hearts’ Young Master Chef in an afternoon that features fresh food and first-class entertainment; all in the aid of Save the Children.
Cooking for guests are:
Team Rhubarb – captained by Dean Ritchie, featuring Harry Cochrane, Anthony McDonald, Aaron Hickey and Dino Leddie.
Team Witchery – led by Chris Hamilton will showcase the talents of Connor Smith, Jay Sandison, Cammy Logan and Brodie Strang.
Team Tower – Leeroy Makovora takes the helm, assisted by Scott McGill, Mackenzie Lawler, Euan Henderson and Sean Ward.
