Hearts Women have today bolstered their squad ahead of the second half of the season with the addition of three new players.
Striker Danni McGinley and winger Robyn Smith have both joined from SWPL 1 side Forfar Farmington whilst winger Louise Mason arrives from Spartans FC.
All three players bring crucial top-flight experience with them as they aim to help table toppers Hearts secure promotion from SWPL 2.
Hearts Women will return to league action in August and currently sit top with 23 points from 11 games.
Speaking to Hearts TV, winger Louise Mason explained the reasons behind her decision to move across the city from Spartans.
“I’ve come here purely because of the ambition, the drive and the vision that Hearts have got.
“There’s a bigger picture here, the women’s side of things will be integrated into the club later this year and I’m just really excited to be part of it.
“I’m looking forward to playing my part. We want to get promoted, simple as that.”
Striker Danni McGinley echoed those sentiments:
“I was impressed by the ambition this club has, seeing what they aspire to become over the next few years.
“To see what the backroom staff are doing here is massive and having spoken to the backroom staff last week I knew this is the place I wanted to be.”
Wide player Robyn Smith added:
“I’ve got top league experience but I’ve also played in SWPL 2 so I’ve got a good idea of what to expect.
“It’s going to be a challenge to get into the starting eleven but it’s one that I’m really looking forward to.”
