Morgaro, Jamie and Alim on shortlist of nominees for PFA Scotland SPFL Championship Player of the Year.

League-winning Hearts stars dominate the list of nominations for the PFA Scotland SPFL Championship Player of the Year.

The Edinburgh club stormed to the title after a stunning season under head coach Robbie Neilson.

Crowned champions with seven games still to go, the Jambos’ superb form is reflected in the list of nominees for the coveted award.

Morgaro Gomis, Alim Ozturk and Jamie Walker are all in contention for the prestigious honour, with Scott Allan of Hibs making up the shortlist, as voted for by their fellow-professionals.

The winner will be announced and presented with his award at a star-studded dinner at the Hilton Glasgow on Sunday 3rd May, sponsored by Cheque Centre.

PFA Scotland Chief Executive Fraser Wishart commented: “This is the top award for players. There is no greater honour in football than to be voted the best player in your league by your fellow-professionals.”

The evening will also see the SPFL Player of the Year for Leagues One and Two revealed.
