Hearts proud to wear The Extra Time Badge

9th April 2022

Hearts players will proudly wear t-shirts featuring The Extra Time Badge during their warm-up ahead of Saturday’s Edinburgh Derby at Tynecastle.

The Extra Time Badge aims to raise awareness and educate young footballers, coaches and parents on the key steps of CPR.

When suffering a Sudden Cardiac Arrest, every minute without CPR and de-fibrillation decreases your chance of survival by around 10%. Yet, despite this, nearly half of adults in the UK are unlikely to perform CPR because of a lack of training. Giving CPR is vital to giving those we love some extra time and Heart of Midlothian Football Club is pleased to be able to help raise awareness of a potentially life-saving skill.

Ironed onto football shirts, in the place where CPR should be performed, the badge contains key information to help people learn about giving CPR. When CPR is needed, the badge is there to help guide them, with the information they need at the most critical time.

The Extra Time Badge is free to order and available in team or individual packs. You can find out more by clicking here.
