The Club is delighted to announce a new three-year partnership with HEINEKEN.
The deal will see Strongbow, the UK’s leading cider brand, proudly lend its name to the new Strongbow Legends Lounge in the Main Stand at Tynecastle Park.
The Strongbow brand has a deep rooted connection with Heart of Midlothian Football Club and the new lounge, due to open in time for the 2018/19 season, will pay homage to the Hearts legends from the club’s Strongbow era. These include the club’s all-time leading league goalscorer, John Robertson, and the legendary 1998 Scottish Cup winning side.
Hearts’ Owner & Chairwoman, Ann Budge, said:
“We are thrilled to secure a partnership with HEINEKEN and thereby reunite the Club with the Strongbow brand.
“Strongbow has a very special connection with the Club and its supporters, with their logo having previously adorned Hearts shirts for the best part of a decade. Their sponsorship at the time coincided with Hearts’ famous 1998 Scottish Cup win, one of the club’s most memorable triumphs.
“The Strongbow Legends Lounge will honour some of the iconic players from that era and we very much look forward to welcoming supporters into the lounge at the start of the new season.”
Jason Cockburn, Regional Sales Director at HEINEKEN, said:
“The Strongbow brand has a proud history with Heart of Midlothian which can be seen in the imagery from that famous Scottish Cup victory 20 years ago.
“We’re delighted to bring Strongbow as well as a selection of great beers to Tynecastle. We hope that club’s fans will welcome the new Strongbow Legends Lounge and enjoy it for years to come."
Graeme Pacitti, Hearts’ Head of Hospitality and Catering Operations, commented:
“I have had the pleasure of working with Heineken since 2011 and they have been hugely supportive of the development of the club’s award winning hospitality business.
“I very much look forward to continuing this strong relationship with the opening of the Strongbow Legends Lounge.”
