Gordon named in Scotland squad

16th March 2021

Craig Gordon has been called up to the Scotland squad.

Hearts’ No.1 was today named in manager Steve Clarke’s squad for Scotland’s upcoming World Cup qualifying triple-header.

Craig, who has 55 caps to his name, was rewarded for his fine form for the men in maroon this season when he was recalled to the national side in November of last year.

With seven clean sheets under his belt this campaign, the 38-year-old retains his spot in the Scotland squad ahead with Derby County’s David Marshall and Jon McLaughlin of Rangers for company.

Scotland kick off Group F with a home tie against Austria on March 25th. Three days later they travel to Israel, before hosting the Faroe Islands on March 31st.
