Marcus Godinho has been named in Canada’s provisional squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The 21-year-old has been included in the initial 40-man list, which will be reduced to 23 players ahead of the tournament, which will be hosted in USA, Costa Rica and Jamaica.
The full back will be hoping to make the final cut and add to his one full cap when Canada kick off their Group A campaign against Martinique in Los Angeles on June 15th.
They face Mexico four days later in Denver before taking on Cuba in the final group game in Charlotte on June 23.
The top two teams from each of the four groups advance through to the competition’s quarter-finals. The final takes place on July 7 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
