Ian Cathro insists his side have recovered from the disappointment of Sunday’s draw at Raith Rovers and are now fully focused on tomorrow night’s replay at Tynecastle.
A late Raith Rovers equaliser denied the Jam Tarts passage into the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup on Sunday and the two sides will now clash in a replay at Tynecastle tomorrow night.
A home tie against Hibs awaits the winning team but Head Coach Ian Cathro insists his players’ sole focus is on overcoming the Kirkcaldy side tomorrow.
“Of course the prospect of facing Hibs is a big thing, but believe me there is no focus from our side on anything other than tomorrow night.
“Yes we were very disappointed after the match on Sunday, but we have to move on quickly and it’s all about tomorrow night. We’ve recovered and we’re ready to play.
“I feel a sense of frustration just now which is primarily for the fans. I know where we’re going, I know the players and I know the things that will happen.
“Every time we don’t fully show our fans where this is going, it hurts. We need to show them so that they’re with us and they can buy into what we’re doing.
“I feel it when we don’t give them that, so that’s probably the most difficult and frustrating part of things.”
Ian also revealed that Sam Nicholson, who has been out of action for four months, may well make a return to tomorrow’s matchday squad. Meanwhile, the Head Coach also touched on the possibility of more players arriving in January as he looks to shape up his team for the second half of the season.
“We’re working, we’re working. We’re making progress, there are still a few things we’d like to do.
“We’re reaching the end of the month so it becomes a bit more complicated, but we’re in a position where more players will join us.”
