Food Bank this Sunday

15th October 2019

A food bank will be in place in front of the Main Stand ahead of Sunday's Ladbrokes Premiership match against Rangers.

Big Hearts, Jambos Kickback and Heart of Midlothian are once again joining forces to collect donations of non-perishable food items on the day. This will be the fourth food bank collection in aid of the Community One Stop Shop in Broomhouse.

The main drop-off point will be at the Foundation Plaza (McLeod Street, EH11 2NL) where volunteers will be on hand from 10:30am until kick-off at 12:15pm. A second point will be located behind the Wheatfield Stand, just outside the turnstile gates on Wheatfield Street.

Items urgently needed: tinned meals (stew, chilli, meatballs…), tins of vegetables, tins of meat or fish, UHT or powdered milk, rice, cereals, soups and other long shelf life products.

We encourage all Hearts supporters to get involved and help hundreds of local families who will struggle to get essential food supplies during the winter. The Community One Stop Shop feeds an average of 400 people every month, and a significant increase is expected over the festive season.

Jambos can also contribute via an appeal on www.hmfckickback.co.uk. Jambos Kickback is kindly covering all service fees, which means 100% of every pound raised online will enable the foodbank to buy additional supplies including fresh fruits, bread and toiletries.

Any donations will make such a difference to families in crisis when comes Christmas time. A huge thank you in advance for your support!
