Fighting fit for Falkirk

30th August 2014

Robbie Neilson has no worries on McGhee and Keatings' fitness and reveals long-term injured stars on way back.

Robbie Neilson hopes to have his long-term injured stars back in the next week or so and has revealed that Jordan McGhee and James Keatings will be fit to face Falkirk.

The pair hobbled off during the Jambos' 2-1 midweek Scottish League Cup win over Stenhousemuir, but the Gorgie gaffer is expecting them to be in contention for a first-team place when the Bairns visit Tynecastle this weekend.

Speaking to the media at the Hearts Football Academy this morning, Robbie said: "The boys are all fine. We had a couple of guys who came off (in midweek) but they're fine. They'll train today so there are no issues for Saturday.

"Neil Alexander will train next week. Scott Gallacher has maybe got a couple of weeks yet to go. We're fine on that side. We play Falkirk on Saturday and then we've got a free weekend so it gives us a chance to get a lot of the players back.

"I'd like to think that Callum Paterson will be back, Dale Carrick could be back after that. Soufain El Hassnaoui was on the bench in midweek so he'll be back.

"We're getting players back now and it's getting a fuller squad."

Robbie's pre-match press conference is available to watch in full on HeartsTV.
