Robbie Neilson says no one will be taking their eye off the ball as they continue to chase Championship glory.
The Jambos host Queen of the South at Tynecastle Park on Saturday, fresh off the back of a 2-0 win at Greenock Morton last weekend.
With a Scottish Cup Final on the horizon excitement is beginning to build, however the manager insists Hearts focus is fully on another trying to win another three points this weekend.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Robbie said: “For ourselves, I think the most important thing is to get the win.
“The objective for the season is to get promoted so this Saturday the league is the most important thing for us. We need to make sure we win. I’d like to do that by having a good performance.
“Queen of the South have blown a bit hot and cold this season. I went down to watch them against Alloa recently and they played really well then obviously they had a difficult result last Friday night.
“We know what they’re like; they’re unpredictable. They’ve got Dobbie up front, he’s still a very good striker that we have to care off.
“We say it every week but it’s about winning. We spoke about momentum last week, we had a wee hit with a couple of poor results but we’ve managed to get back on course again so it’s about building that momentum again building up for the Cup Final.
“But for me it’s all about the next game here at Hearts. It’s not about what’s coming in two weeks time or three weeks time, it’s about what’s coming in the next 90 minutes that you play and you have to win.”
One player Robbie is preparing to welcome back is Josh Ginnelly. The on-loan Preston North End winger hasn’t featured since suffering a quad injury in October, but he’s progressed enough to be in contention for this weekend’s visit of the Doonhamers.
“Josh is fit,” said Robbie. “He’s trained this week so he’ll be in the squad for Saturday. I would expect him to be on the bench.”
